In January of 1998 Brad and Becky Robertson, along with their family, moved from Arlington, TX back to the Mississippi Gulf Coast upon Brad's completion of seminary at Dallas Theological Seminary to start Grace Church Gulf Coast. Their dream was to start a church that communicated the complete message of the gospel of grace in a contemporary method. Brad's passion for grace began when someone handed him a book in 1990 called Classic Christianity, written by Bob George. As he read Classic Christainity, he began to be impacted by the amazing message of God's grace. Immediately, he dug into God's word where he discovered for himself the treasures of the riches of God's grace given to us in Jesus. This God-given passion for grace and desire to see the complete message of God's grace communicated to people inspired Brad to start a grace-based church.
In Febuary of 1998, Brad and Becky gathered a small group of people together to begin planning to start a new church on the Mississippi Gulf Coast dedicated to reaching people with and teaching people about grace. On April 12, 1998, Easter Sunday, Grace Church Gulf Coast held its first public service at Ocean Springs Middle School.
Since this time, Grace Church Gulf Coast has moved into several different facilities as they have continued reaching with and teaching people about God's grace. During this time, the church purchased 12 acres of land will be in our new church home when our buildings are complete.
Grace Church Gulf Coast is made up of people whose lives have been impacted by the good news of God's grace. Their passion is to get this amazing message of God's grace out to people of all ages. They believe that the message of grace is the best kept secret in Christianity and they have made it their passion to tell the world about God's grace.
Through Brad's verse by verse teaching through God's word to adults and ministries for people of all ages, Grace Church Gulf Coast is reaching people with and teaching people about God's grace. Young and old alike and both older and newer Christians are all experiencing this life-changing message of grace that God revealed to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus.
